ADUN under fire for verbal attack towards civil servant
Kota Kemuning state assemblyperson (ADUN) Ganabatirau Veraman has come under fire for blasting civil servants over their poor work over the drainage at Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam.
Ganabatirau Veraman in a video published on his Facebook page was heard saying the employees at Selangor Drainage and Irrigation Department (JPS) were ‘working so stupidly’.
He added that if were not fit for the job and did not have the knowledge of proper drain planning, they should resign.
Sanmugan Raman said, “As an elected representative should have controlled his temper while dealing with complicated bureaucracy no matter how pressing the issue was.”
He added that at the end of the day, everyone has a lesson to learn and the people should be prioritsed, not politics.
Jawahar Nehru preferred if he had understood the problem and offered solutions instead of attacking the civil servants.
Seeing that it his district fund being passed out, Ganabatirau should be blasting his government for hiring inadequate staff to handle major projects.
“Use proper channels to confront the issue. We are in a civilized world,” he said.
The assemblymen have since apologised over the matter and admitted that he had acted rudely.
He claimed, “I voiced this not to be a hero, but to serve as an elected representative in the constituency.”
