Rising resentment and anger towards Madani government by rakyat

In Malaysia now, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as the rise in taxes is expected to witness a spate of increases in the prices of goods and services and this is causing rising resentment and anger towards the government.

The failure of the elected representatives from various political parties to deliver on their election manifesto of the last general election is causing Malaysians to have to swallow the bitter pill of broken promises.

The fact that the government has reneged on its election promises is not going down well with the rakyat as while they see that prices of goods and services are increasing there is no corresponding increase in incomes and salaries.

This is causing troubling and disturbing thoughts among more and more Malaysians and there is much build up of anxiety and tension with no avenue or outlet for release except to work harder than usual.

While those with day jobs are resorting to moonlighting, there are yet others who are wanting to go across the Causeway to the island-republic of Singapore, or overseas, to find gainful employment to support themselves and their families.

This has caused bad hats to capitalise on the situation to prey on Malaysians with promises of lucrative employment overseas only to be shortchanged and this damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario is causing Malaysians to resent the government.
