Tackling climate change at its roots

While MetMalaysia should be applauded for trying to give an accurate weather forecast, the truth of the matter is that climate change has made their task enviable and almost impossible for them to give a sure and certain forecast.

The fact of the matter is that climate change has made the Malaysian weather unpredictable and during this monsoon season there can be scorching heat and then thunderstorms that cause floods and cold, wet weather within the space of a day.

But this is not a phenomenon that is unique to Malaysia, as globally, weather patterns have changed and are causing havoc which is why the world needs a reset when it comes to climatic conditions.

There are a growing number of climate conditions beginning with global warming, the El Nino and La Nina phenomena and typhoons and hurricanes and tornadoes to tsunamis all over the world in the last two decades.

What it will all evolve into is anybody’s guess but earthlings must make sacrifices and take drastic measures to reduce their individual carbon footprint or incur the wrath of nature which is obviously lashing back at us.

In the final analysis, earth is the only hospitable habitat for human beings at present as all the time and effort at exploring space has so far yielded nothing much which is why steps must be taken to conserve the earth and its resources which are not infinite.
