The event also paid tribute to nations that have profoundly shaped Asia’s cultural and economic identity. Lebanon was honoured with the prestigious Asia’s Top Country for Middle Eastern Cuisine award, recognising its rich and diverse culinary heritage that has influenced the region and beyond. Renowned for its vibrant flavours, fresh ingredients and balanced use of herbs and spices, Lebanese cuisine is celebrated worldwide for dishes like hummus, tabbouleh and kebabs. The country’s long history of trade and cultural exchange has led to a unique fusion of influences, making Lebanese food a perfect representation of Middle Eastern gastronomy. By preserving traditional cooking methods while embracing modern culinary trends, Lebanon has established itself as a leader in Middle Eastern cuisine. This recognition, presented to His Excellency George Bitar Ghanem, Lebanon’s ambassador to Malaysia, honours the country’s contributions to the global food scene and its role in promoting Middle Eastern culinary traditions.

The award was bestowed upon Lebanon following extensive research and comprehensive surveys conducted by Top 10 of Asia magazine. Insights were gathered from culinary experts, industry leaders and audiences across the region, ensuring that the recognition was a true reflection of Lebanon’s exceptional contribution to Middle Eastern cuisine. This rigorous process highlighted the country’s influential role in shaping the global culinary landscape.

Among the key highlights of the awards was the recognition of leaders in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
