It really is downright annoying and irritating to witness the attitude and approach of the people and government of Malaysia, in the way and manner they show respect, care and attention towards towering Malaysians who have fallen on hard times.
Perhaps annoying and irritating is putting it mildly. There are people who are upset, troubled and disturbed over the neglect of Malaysians who have worked hard to bring success and glory in building the nation.
Whether politicians or sportsmen and sportswomen, artists and personalities who have fallen by the wayside in their old age are only attended to when publicity is given by highlighting their plight and suffering.
Why does this nation always wait for tragedy to strike before taking action? Why don’t they monitor the progress and well being of people who are past contributing their efforts towards nation building?
The reports and stories of those who suffered and struggled who are now themselves suffering and struggling are only made aware to everyone when the media publishes their plight which is really a crying shame.
The government should lead the way in monitoring and keeping tabs on every person, even unsung heroes who are not famous, in making sure that every Malaysian receives love, care and attention for as long as they live.
