On 16th August 2026, Mikel Arteta led Arsenal Football Club to cruise to a 3 – 0 victory over arch-rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield which is the ‘pembuka tirai’ or curtain raiser to the English Premier League (EPL) season 2026-2027.
But it was last season’s EPL or 2025-2026 season, when Arsenal lifted the EPL title, which signified not only Arteta’s maiden victory, but also catapulted him to become recognised as a leading football manager in Europe.
The future is very bright for Arteta and the Arsenal Football Club and their star is on an ascendancy, and this season, football pundits and punters are betting strongly on the club retaining the EPL trophy.
Prior to being appointed as Arsenal manager in December, 2019, Arteta played comprehensively for leading clubs in Europe as a professional footballer playing usually as a midfielder until the year 2016 before going into coaching.
While there are those who actually contend that Arsenal’s victory in securing the EPL last season was just a flash in the pan, Arteta supporters counter that the club’s showing in England and the Champion’s League showed there was more to come from this manager.
Quite rightly, his backers state Arsenal Football Club, under the guidance of Arteta has been very impressive, and they believe he can guide the club to more glory and success in England and Europe for years to come.
