Malaysians must begin to wage a war on corruption which is now considered endemic, in order to ensure that the parasites who are fuelling corruption, and also cronyism, collusion and nepotism, are rooted out of society.
For a long time there has been widespread and unabated corruption in the country owing to a lax attitude by the government, but now that push has come to shove, it is time to get to the root of the issue and not allow it to fester or multiply.
Corruption is not a trivial matter anymore because it is starting to encroach and destroy different segments and sectors of the country, especially the government of the day, as they lack the political will to combat corruption.
Every Malaysian must act as the eyes and ears of the government to blow the whistle on the corrupt no matter how big and strong and powerful these figures might be in this country, whether ordinary folk, VIPs or VVIPs.
No individual in this country must be seen as being ‘untouchable’ by the long arm of the law and everyone must conform and subscribe to the rule of law, otherwise there will arise a law and order situation leading to the nation becoming a failed state.
The war on corruption must involve everyone, women and children, schools, colleges and universities, the private and public sector, and business houses, industries and the professions of all disciplines and fields.
