Some of us seem to be strangers to ourselves, and this should not come as a surprise, instead, it affirms and confirms the need for every individual on earth to really learn to get to know themselves before venturing to know other people.

Please introduce yourself to your own self and get to honestly and truly know who you are as a person in order to have a clear understanding of self and everything else that personifies you and defines you as a human being.

Just as no two thumbprints are alike, no two individuals are alike, not even identical twins, which goes to show the wide variations of personalities and character types in this world that is a staggering revelation to us.

Why is it important to know ourselves? The reason why everyone should be clear and have an understanding of their thinking and being is to ensure there is no falsehood and pretension in the way and manner life is lived by us.

This self-knowledge, or the knowledge of ourselves, gives us an accurate picture of who we are and why there is an important need to stay grounded and not have any distortions or misconceptions of our self and our identity as an individual.

Once there is that acknowledgement, once there is that knowledge and understanding of who we are as a person, once we have fully identified ourselves, there are then preparations to be made to know and understand all the other individuals living in this world.
