Just by casually visiting any country around the world, there is a real and stark possibility of meeting China nationals who appear to be fleeing mainland China in search of greener pastures or just relief from being ‘holed up’ in their country.
Why is this so? By observing the hordes of arrivals of China nationals on Malaysian soil, whether just to visit, to work or study, or to engage in business activities, a person would not be wrong in concluding that China is beginning to implode.
It’s a case of too much, too soon. China’s phenomenal or false claims to economic growth is now beginning to burn out, and there are ground realities that the country’s economy is beginning to overheat.
This has resulted in the creation of a sense of gloom and doom in China, the oppression of the docile masses, and there are headwinds suggesting that the country is not all that great as a nation as they make themselves out to be in reality.
By associating, mixing and mingling with China nationals in this country you sense their huge relief at being able to breathe in relief in this country and this condition is shared by millions of Chinese who have fled their nation in recent times.
The Chinese diaspora therefore is burgeoning outside the motherland and the watching world believes it is high time the Chinese share their mostly ill gotten spoils of economic growth with the world at large, which means it should be payback time now.
