Every person should be accorded respect and dignity, as this is a basic human right of cultured and civilised societies around the world, and in addition, there must be civility and civic mindedness expressed by each and every person.
It is not enough to be polite and good mannered, there must be the accordance of respect and dignity for every individual that crosses paths with us or where a person meets up with us on our journey of life.
If this shared idealism, this according of respect and dignity is achievable, this world would get closer to the Utopian ideal, and people of all walks of life, race, religion and nationality would be living in peace and harmony.
This mentality or make-up of the mind must be professed by each person, and it must be shared and imparted to others whom there is mixing and matching for the multiplication or growth of higher and noble qualities.
While this idealism can never reach perfection, it is critically important that all of us subscribe to it as best as possible to make it work, though there is that knowledge and understanding the co-operation needed from everyone would not be present.
There will be the doubters, the scoffers and the mockers who would not toe the line or agree to show respect and dignity universally, as they have their own thoughts and ideas about following this guideline, especially with their foes or enemies.
