The elderly and seniors, those suffering from terminal illnesses and others who are in the twilight zone should consider the wisdom of putting their affairs in this life in order and learn to contemplate the afterlife.
It doesn’t matter what your faith or religion, your spiritual convictions or even if you are a person who has been living hedonistically as a free thinker, everyone in the world has to take and follow this rite of passage in this life.
There are no exceptions to the rules. Death can come suddenly to anyone in life. No matter how well prepared a person is and no matter what precautions they take, death can come like a thief in the night, very stealthily.
While for the young, the probability of dying is rare, it happens. But for those who are nearing the finishing line, those who are on the edge of departing this world, consider the afterlife, reflect on it, embrace it and be prepared to welcome it.
But while death comes naturally to every human being, the prospect and business of living must still go on, and though a person is aging, their zest and zeal for life must not be diminished but keep growing brighter and brighter until their last breath.
It is only when the crossing over is done into the afterlife that it is game over and the successors to our life, our kith and kin take over the roles played by us is the real deal done, signed, sealed and delivered for posterity.
