Behaving in a ‘tidak apa’ or never mind or couldn’t care less way, has unfortunately, become second nature to many Malaysians and there are now suggestions that the Madani government offer education and awareness programs on how to behave well.

The ugly Malaysian can be witnessed everywhere in daily life, compounded by the presence of many legal and illegal migrant workers, spitting, picking their noses, littering and showing totally no thought or consideration for others.

This mix of locals and foreign migrants who display terrible mannerisms give a bad image to the nation and foreign tourists and visitors are appalled at their gross ways causing them to be turned off by such uncivilised ways.

Malaysians are known to flout traffic rules, speeding through red lights, unaware of pedestrians turn to cross, double parking and triple parking with their vehicles causing rising tension, stress and pressures to everybody in public.

The ubiquitous ‘Mat Rempits’ in daredevil riding spirit are a cause for great worry and concern not just for motorists but pedestrians such as seniors and the elderly and children who suffer from shocks and frights from these delivery riders.

In order for peace and harmony to prevail, Malaysians must change their attitudes and bad behaviour and this can only be done by the government leading the way to eradicate and eliminate these kinds of ways and mannerisms among people in the country.
