Post Covid-19 pandemic was a very stressful and traumatic experience for everyone in the world. No one was spared the fury of the outbreak of the coronavirus and the foundations up which many people built their lives were shaken and mercilessly destroyed.
There was mayhem, bedlam and anarchy suffered by everyone and this has created a need, a vital need for people to equip themselves with sufficient knowledge of how to cope with stress and traumatic experiences in their lives.
Understanding and learning basic psychological ‘first aid’ can go a long way in defusing stress being suffered by a person and possibly even prevent a person from going off the deep end because of the problems and issues they cannot face up to in life.
By withdrawing from life and not having the knowledge nor the courage to face up to whatever bugs us, there is that withdrawal by some people into a make believe and fantasy world detaching them from the realities of life.
In this modern era, this state and condition of globalization, no matter who you are or what you do, it is important to arm yourself with basic psychological knowledge through various forms of authentic media to help and assist us.
This knowledge of basic psychology will go a long way in helping us develop coping skills and have the confidence and ability to face up to the challenges of all forms of stress, be wiser, and be able to overcome the stress plaguing us.
