The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today confirmed that Datuk Noor Azman Rahman has been reinstated as its Secretary-General with immediate effect following the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings against him.
In a statement, FAM said the decision was made by the FAM Disciplinary Committee, which convened yesterday to deliberate on the matter.
According to the association, the committee found that Noor Azman was only linked to administrative negligence and was neither guilty nor involved in any form of document falsification, as previously alleged.
FAM explained that the decision followed earlier deliberations by its Executive Committee on Dec 22, 2025, during which the findings of the Independent Investigation Committee (IIC) were reviewed. At that time, the Executive Committee had agreed to extend Noor Azman’s suspension, which began on Oct 17, 2025, to allow the case to be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further action.
“The Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Datuk Baljit Singh Sidhu, met to examine the matter in detail and took into consideration both the duration of the suspension already served by Datuk Noor Azman and the findings outlined in the IIC report dated Dec 15, 2025,” the statement said.
Following its assessment, the committee ruled that there was insufficient basis for further disciplinary action and decided that Noor Azman should resume his duties as Secretary-General with immediate effect.
FAM added that the latest decision brings the matter to a close and reflects the association’s commitment to due process, transparency and fairness in handling internal governance issues.
Noor Azman had been placed on suspension pending investigations into alleged administrative irregularities, which had drawn significant attention within the local football fraternity.
With his reinstatement, FAM said it remains focused on strengthening its administrative structure and ensuring the smooth implementation of its programmes and competitions moving forward.
