Noor Kumalasari believes Anita Sarawak’s comeback is highly unlikely

Actress and singer Noor Kumalasari believes that efforts to bring her sister, veteran entertainer Anita Sarawak, back to Malaysia for a special appearance at the ‘GenKRU The Finale: One More Time’ concert on 22 November will be extremely difficult to realise.

Noor said Anita, who has long withdrawn from the entertainment industry, has made a firm personal decision to live a quiet and private life in the United States.

“From what I know of her, once Kak Nita decides on something, she stays with it. That is why I feel the chances of her returning are very slim,” she told reporters at a fashion launch event in Kuala Lumpur.

She said Anita prefers a calm domestic life with her husband and has no desire to return to the spotlight.

“She wants to live like ordinary people. She wants to be a devoted wife and focus on her home. If the organisers manage to persuade her, that would be remarkable, but if she says no, then that decision will remain,” she said.

Noor also explained that she seldom communicates with her sister, except during the annual Aidilfitri celebrations.

“Kak Nita is doing well over there, but we rarely speak. She moves around quite often due to her work and involvement in property-related ventures,” she said.

Meanwhile, Icon Entertainment founder Iman Tang previously stated that negotiations are still underway with the representative of the singer, who has been residing in Las Vegas since 2011, to secure her participation in the upcoming concert.
