In the past, the means of communication was face-to-face, but with the advent of the New Normal, communicating online has become increasingly popular and the trend among the younger set especially is to go hi-tech.

Although the seniors and elderly communicate online, there are not many of them who are tech savvy, and most prefer to meet up for a chat or conversation over a meal or drinks depending on the arrangements they make with their friends.

When the New Normal was introduced, online classes were the norm for students and teachers. But once the Covid-19 pandemic eased up, the rush to get back into the classroom for face-to-face classes were on.

But Malaysians have a lot to gripe about ever since online communication came onstream. They cite the hot and rainy weather as deterrents to going out and meeting people, looking for parking space or convenient places to meet were other issues.

By clicking on their devices, Malaysians save a lot of time and money and inconvenience in going out and meeting people which they nowadays prefer to do only on special occasions which actually is a wise idea and decision.

But there is always a need for the warmth of meeting people in person as opposed to the inanimate activity of pressing buttons online and perhaps what people need to do is to accordingly alternate between online and face-to-face communication.
