Touch ’n Go eWallet users in Malaysia can now refill their vehicle with petrol at PETRONAS stations directly through the app, thanks to a new “PETRONAS via Setel” mini‑programme within the TnG eWallet platform.

How It Works

After arriving at a PETRONAS station, simply launch the TnG eWallet app and select the “PETRONAS via Setel” mini‑programme. The app will detect your location and prompt you to choose the correct pump number and your desired fuel amount, either in Malaysian Ringgit or litres. Next, select your fuel type and proceed to pay with your eWallet. Once payment is confirmed, you can begin fuelling immediately.

Coverage and Partnership

This service is available at over 1,000 PETRONAS stations nationwide, made possible through a strategic partnership formalised via a Memorandum of Understanding between Setel Ventures and TNG Digital.

To celebrate the launch, the first 50,000 eligible transactions via the mini‑programme will receive RM5 worth of Mesra Rewards points. Both new and existing Mesra users (when linking their account) are eligible. In addition, users will continue to earn GoRewards points through their TnG eWallet for every fuel top‑up.

Mini‑App vs Full Setel App

While the “PETRONAS via Setel” mini‑programme supports fuel payments, it does not cover services such as street parking or EV charging—that remains within the full Setel app. Users will also earn a standard rate of one Mesra point per litre via the mini‑programme, whereas the full Setel app offers 1.5× to 3× points, depending on their Mesra tier. Additionally, a more detailed transaction record is only available through the Setel app.
