Abuses of knowledge and information becoming common

When a student graduates from a college or university nowadays, in their maiden work or job, what they learn from their peers is to acquire the tricks of the trade or their profession, and this seems to be more important than knowing the business itself.

While there are departures from the norm, it is a rarity, as most newly-minted graduates, while undergoing tertiary training, already have the mindset established that their qualification is a passport to making money.

If they were to go by the rules of their profession, they will get somewhere and be able to make some money, but by employing the tricks of the trade, it is a fast track approach to being fabulously wealthy.

Why all this does not go well with society is because the tricks of the trade leads to immoral earnings not compatible with the high and exacting standards demanded by noble professions and this is why it has become a bone of contention.

Whether these loopholes or tricks of a trade need to be plugged is something for the various governments, industry, commerce and the professions to deliberate and decide on but those who use these tricks of the trade must not be allowed to get away.

Since the general public and lay persons are not privy to the workings and structure of a trade or profession, it is really up to the peers in the same profession to nab culprits who exploit weaknesses in the system.
