Nippon Paint (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has joined forces with the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) to champion a national uplift in hotel refurbishment standards.
As part of its Total Coating & Construction Solutions (TCCS) strategy, this collaboration aims to empower hospitality stakeholders with timely, future-ready refurbishment solutions as Malaysia prepares for 31.4 million tourist arrivals and RM125.5 billion in tourism receipts under Visit Malaysia 2026.
This activation featured the ‘Elevating Hotel Maintenance: Comprehensive Solutions for Refurbishment’ workshop, which aimed at upskilling hoteliers and facility managers with practical, future-proof refurbishment strategies. As part of its long-term commitment to the sector, Nippon Paint is focusing on enhancing the aesthetics, functionality, and safety of hospitality environments while supporting sustainable tourism growth.
Isaac Mohan Raj, Chief Executive Officer of MAH, shared that, “First impressions truly matter, starting with the physical space that greets our guests. This collaboration with Nippon Paint reflects our shared vision to empower hotel professionals with practical, high-quality refurbishment solutions, giving them the confidence and capability to create safe, beautiful environments that elevate the guest experience.”
Meanwhile, Tay Sze Tuck, General Manager of Nippon Paint, added, “We’re proud to support the hospitality industry with refurbishment solutions that enhance both the look and long-term performance of hotel spaces. Our goal is to help hoteliers stay competitive by ensuring every guest walks into a space that feels clean, well-maintained, and welcoming because we believe that comfort, safety, and beauty should go hand-in-hand.”
During the workshop, Nippon Paint highlighted that common maintenance challenges, such as efflorescence, surface cracks, and water seepage, often stem from wear and tear, improper application techniques, overlooked protocols, poor material use and incompatible systems.
