Global hospitality technology company OYO has announced partnership with Koperasi Pembangunan Anak-Anak Pulau Pinang Berhad (KOPA) and Penang Football Club (Penang FC) as their official accommodation partners.
OYO will provide reliable, comfortable, and affordable accommodation for players of PFC II and PFC III during their travels for league matches throughout Malaysia.
The MoU, signed by representatives from all three organizations, marks a significant step in a broader initiative aimed at enhancing infrastructure, support systems and opportunities for young Malaysian athletes. This will ensure the players can rest, recharge, and deliver their best performance on the field.
This partnership is a strategic effort to uplift and empower the next generation of Malaysian athletes, particularly youth from Penang and other parts of the country. OYO has a network of more than 100 new company-serviced hotels across key cities including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Ipoh.
Elaborating on the expansion program, Raymond Chen, Country Business and Operations Head, OYO Malaysia said “We are proud to be part of this collaboration with KOPA and Penang FC. OYO views this as an opportunity to not only contribute to sports development but also play a meaningful role in the social and personal development of young individuals, aligning closely with national objectives for youth empowerment and community building.”
This announcement comes as part of OYO Malaysia’s broader strategy to deepen its community engagement while continuing to expand its presence in the country.
