In a recent social media posting, read by many Malaysian netizens, the story was shared of how a victim of loan shark harassment jumped from a high rise building with his aged mother to escape the brutal nature of Ah Long’s.

Now Malaysians of all walks of life are asking for an end to Ah Long or loan sharking activities as nothing good comes out of it and it only makes loan sharks to be brazen and being daredevil in nature.

The nature of loan sharks are cruel, evil and utterly ruthless in their dealings and they show no compassion, leniency or mercy on those who are forced to take loans from them owing to a variety of reasons.

Those who borrow from loan sharks are already in a spot of bother and borrowing from any loan shark is really to jump from the frying pan into the fire and this is why the government must ban all loan sharking activities by Ah Longs.

This is a business of borrowing and lending that does no good to both parties and it is like a double edged sword that hurts both sides eventually which is why those who seek loans should look for help from legitimate sources.

Perhaps the government can set up an agency to help and assist Malaysians looking for soft loans to tide them over and charge minimal interest instead of the cut throat lending offered by loan sharks which is unfair and unjust to the borrower.
