While Malaysia’s Madani government is not ticking all the boxes right, there is however a sense of great relief that the past administrations have been given the boot for steering the country in the wrong direction and promoting corruption.

Although corruption in the country is still raging, there seemingly are proactive actions being taken by the authorities and law enforcement agencies to bring the menace under control and to eventually wipe it out completely.

On the corruption combat, however Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has to up the ante and steer the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission to be more diligent in pursuing and weeding out the corrupt in this country for a healthier and just nation.

Other boxes that Anwar and his administration is ticking right are boosting the use of Artificial Intelligence, but he has to weigh the pros and cons carefully, as if he is not careful, it can lead to lay-offs, retrenchments and massive unemployment.

Building the economy, now facing US tariffs, has become a very challenging test of Anwar’s mettle as a leader and how he overcomes these challenges will determine if in the next general election he can hold on to power.

Racial relations in general are still at a healthy level, unity and diversity is evident, the economic fundamentals are still holding well, and Malaysians are generally living peacefully but aspire for more progress and prosperity.
