Malaysians of all walks of life want prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be given full powers to combat corruption, after allegations were levelled at former prime minister Ismail Sabri, in a shocking investigation by MACC.
Ismail Sabri is a prime suspect, when RM170 million in foreign currency and 16kg in gold worth nearly RM7 million were seized following investigations into four senior officers who served the former prime minister in various capacities.
Malaysians are up in arms over the latest corruption scandal, after the conviction of Najib Tun Abdul Razak, and the accusations of corruption hurled against Muhyiddin Yassin and Mahathir Mohammad.
The disgust that Malaysians are venting and their anger and resentment on social media platforms is understandable and now they want Datuk Anwar to “walk the talk” as the country is being systematically destroyed by its leaders.
Not only do they want MACC to up the ante and increase the tempo on corruption but they want a “filtering” of the process by which leaders are selected and chosen to lead the country to weed out self-serving and self-seeking political candidates.
Netizens strongly feel that the many sufferings of the rakyat is fully due to the widespread spate of corruption by political leaders of the past and want an end to this festering crisis to alleviate the pain and hardship inflicted on Malaysians.
