In a landmark achievement, the full-length Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) promotional video succeeds fabulously to capture the spirit and imagination of all races in the country leaving no single person out.
This gargantuan effort by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry is aimed at showcasing Malaysia’s peace and harmony alongside many widely appealing tourism hotspots throughout the country in a show of inclusivity.
The ministry received flak earlier for a 41-second clip that did not feature mosques, and this all new 35-minute video features a range of mosques, temples and churches in every state of the country.
The ministry confessed it was hard to please everyone, but they had done their best with this latest video and they had spent RM1.9 million for viewing over 200 videos, which started last year, and they finally settled on the right videos.
Tourism Malaysia pointed out at the launch that the full-length video was part of a broader strategy and initiative to strengthen the nation’s position as a premier global tourism destination which appeals to people of all walks of life.
In addition to the main video, five special promotional videos have been produced, each highlighting the unique attractions of the country’s five key regions, central, northern, eastern and southern regions of Peninsular Malaysia as well as Borneo.
