While the new normal has been in effect since the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, several years have since passed and there are signs that the full normalcy of the past may never again be regained, and Malaysians must accept this fact.
The Covid 19 pandemic was a great disruption in the lives of everyone in this world and Malaysians were not spared as it brought about sweeping changes and turned people’s lives inside out.
Those who survived are now undergoing the stark reality that they must accept the changes taking place ever since, such as the accelerated pace of technological growth and development, and also mechanisation and automation.
For those of us wishing for life to return to pre-Covid 19 level, they are merely engaging in wishful thinking as the new normal goes into full effect and therefore Malaysians must wake up and adapt to these new realities.
Change has come, but whether for better or worse it is still too early to tell, but the changes taking place are at a fast pace and therefore everyone must be on their guard, be vigilant and not be found to be lagging behind.
If there is a need for people to reposition themselves, they must learn to do so, and they must not take the new normal for granted but cope well and adjust themselves wherever necessary to ensure that they remain relevant in this life.
