While most Malaysians are hospitable and welcoming of foreigners there has lately been growing concern over the health and hygiene and cleanliness of migrant workers and refugees that they are requesting the government to address the situation.
What right thinking, decent and proper Malaysians are up in arms about is the selfish and uncaring attitude of these migrant workers and refugees which they find appalling and seek for some form of education to be given to them.
It has become such a grave situation that most Malaysians now avoid using the free shuttle bus which are heavily occupied by foreigners whom they blame for the comeback and spread of all kinds of tuberculosis and other diseases on these buses.
The vetting and screening of the health of migrant workers and refugees do not conform to strict rules and regulations and this is now a bone of contention by many Malaysians with health authorities.
A netizen complained that she bitterly regretted renting rooms in her flat to migrant workers as after a few months her flat was crawling with bugs and she had a hard time putting up with their poor hygiene and cleanliness.
Other Malaysians on the trains complain of the rude behaviour of foreigners who occupy seats meant for the elderly and disabled and expectant women, refusing to budge from their seats even though passengers ask them to do so.
