There are certain mischievous individuals who have been busily rewriting and revising the history of this nation to suit specific agendas and promote half-truths and untruths that are confusing Malaysians especially the young.
It is important to tell the truth and tell it like it is and not falsify or give a distorted picture of the history of Malaysia, but to unfold it truthfully, by relying on established and authoritative works of recognised and respected historians.
Government machinery must go to work and be put to use to ensure that history books in this country pass the certification and approval of independent authorities as to the authenticity of its contents and information.
Whether school history books or history books used in colleges and universities, it is important that all the material facts are accurate and true and they should be cleared of all rewriting and revising to promote the perverted agenda of certain groups and individuals.
The best way to get to the bottom of the historical truth of Malaysia as it unfolded and evolved is to refer to both local and international sources of information and to cross-check, double check and verify the truth.
Once it goes through a rigorous and comprehensive series of checks and balances, only then should the information be used and released in a history book for use and reference, and to understand the truth of Malaysia’s past right up to the present.
