While he has lost no time, ever since he became prime minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has from day one in office at Putrajaya focused on combating corruption, turning around the economy and assisting the poor and needy.

Since then, the results, while not impressive, have been commendable and this is why Datuk Anwar’s swagger is back and his mood is buoyant as he grows from strength to strength and gains confidence.

Datuk Anwar started his job as prime minister on a lonely mission but now his support base has grown considerably, while the opposition are quiet and silent as a mouse and he can take comfort and encouragement from these positive signs.

But the detractors and less sanguine, and his critics, point out that the nation is still not out of the woods yet though they confess and admit that there have been changes made for the betterment of the rakyat.

Others, and this consist of certain voters, are sitting on the fence, not wanting to say anything and for these people the jury is still out deliberating and they are therefore adopting a wait-and-see attitude as it’s too early still to make a call.

But the future for Malaysia, and Anwar as the game changer, looms brighter and brighter and it looks possible that in the coming years more people are expected to back Datuk Anwar and join his camp.
