It is really all too easy for a person to say that he or she cares about this, that and the other but when viewed from a wider perspective what evolves is that real caring actually involves a lot of effort, hard work and sacrifice.
This is why stating that “I care” is meaningless if it is not corroborated and supported by proof and evidence that a person has walked the extra mile or gone out on a limb to care for someone who is helpless, needy and at our mercy.
In the rushed and hurried world that all of us live in now it is not easy to care for someone who is down and out and this is why many people thrust the responsibility of caring for these people to professional care-givers.
But for care-givers, this is merely an occupation and their focus is on profit taking and this is why so often there are incidences of abuse and neglect and bullying of residents in nursing homes or old folks homes.
This is why people need to be extra careful and sensitive in caring that there is no loss of respect, trust and love between a care-giver and the person he or she is caring for as, though in need of help, these people have not lost their insight into life.
This is why leading psychologists have discovered that there are a variety of reasons why people actually care and most of these reasons have an ulterior motive and this is why only open, transparent and sincere and honest people should give care.
