Emotional intelligence and emotional maturity
BY: LEANNE K
Most of us are keen in wanting to develop our intelligence or IQ as the feeling is that it would lead us towards a more fulfilled, satisfied and meaningful life and this is true and nothing can be further from the truth.
But while the enrichment and development of our IQ is very important, there is also the need to balance this with emotional intelligence or EQ and this is an aspect that many people often overlook in their quest to improve their lives.
But there are now a growing number of articles, books and videos on EQ that are flooding the market worldwide as it has now become recognised as equally important as IQ development in people’s lives.
The interest in EQ has become important as there are a lot of people who display emotional-and-milk flapdoodle which irks other people who want them to face up to the vicissitudes of life or the realities of life.
It has also come to be recognised by discerning people that emotional maturity can not be achieved on your own, as you need to learn it with others around you in the quest for the growth of EQ.
If a person is able to focus on jointly developing both his IQ and EQ, it should lead them to achieve a breakthrough in the quality of their lives and cause them to become stable, wise and mature individuals.
