The state exco, however, stated that the new syllabus which is to be implemented in four selected schools will not interfere with the existing national education policy but is expected to augment and add value.
It will focus on four aspects which is to strengthen English and uphold Malay, boost Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, improve the assessment of these subjects and evaluate the SPM results of graduates.
The state exco stated that they had to make sure that no stone was left unturned to ensure that it does not interfere with the current education policy and the existing national education system will be maintained.
Two primary schools and two secondary schools were selected: SMK Kota Puteri 2 (2,352 students) and SK Kota Puteri 4 (532 students), SMK Tasek Utara (611 students) and SK Tasek Utara (802 students).
