Malaysians should learn to acquire soft skills
BY: IZAL MAHAT
Soft skills, also known as power skills, common skills, essential skills or core skills are psychosocial skills generally needed to be acquired by people and Malaysians should also learn to acquire these skills for a better Quality of Life.
Some examples of soft skills include public speaking, negotiation skills, the ability to make quick decisions, doing analysis, communication skills, creativity, innovation, learning to do research, drawing up priorities and motivating and inspiring people.
While there are many more soft skills you can add on to this list, what is important is for a person to select and choose the skills in which he or she is lacking and get help from suitable trainers to enhance their skills.
While it is not necessary for us to acquire the whole gamut or range of social skills, what is important to bear in mind is to sharpen the skills in which a person is weak which is set to make a whole world of difference to them.
It is like, in one few swoop, there is a shift from being weak and inferior to being transported to live a new life by which these soft skills empower you and also helps you develop a certain amount of poise, charm and confidence.
Acquiring soft skills and keeping on improving will not only help us in work, study or at home, it will cause us to know the right manner and way to conduct ourselves in life to ensure a fulfilled, meaningful and successful life.
