If children, teenagers and youth complain that life is very boring, it is immediately understandable because their hormones are raging, but when seniors and elders complain that life is boring, everyone has to take stock of the situation.

Is Malaysia really such a boring country? There are those who beg to differ and these are the hip hop crowd, the movers and the shakers who are ensuring that there is never a dull moment for them.

But while there are those who are living life in the fast lane and enjoying every minute of their lives, the vast majority of Malaysians are clueless as to how to go about pepping up their lives and having that vibrant zest and zeal for living.

In Malaysia, there has to be a playmaker, and the government of the day is eminently qualified to organise activities and events in which Malaysians of all walks of life would be able to enjoy and find that oomph once more.

Playing the role of playmaker must not only be the government’s responsibility, nurseries and preschools, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities and the private and public sector must also share this role and responsibility.

By going across the board, by covering every segment of society, especially the greying population, the seniors and elders, it is possible to come full circle in ensuring a happy, fun filled and meaningful life for everyone in this country.
