Malaysia is supposedly a democracy. The word ‘supposedly’ is used because there are many indications that democracy in the country has been severely compromised putting the nation at risk of being a failed state in future.
While the basic tenets and obligations of democracy such as fair play, justice and meritocracy are not practised, there are also other indications of wrongful practices in governing the nation which needs corrections.
Corrections in the governing and administration of this country is necessary, vital and important especially where human rights and the hard work of Malaysians of all walks of life are trampled upon and taken for granted.
This show of power by the ruling and governing elite must cease immediately and there needs to be in place a sense of righteousness in this country where there is no stifling and suppression of human rights for all in this country.
Bumiputras, Chinese, Indians and migrants must be shown due respect and consideration by the elite and not a display of arrogance and intolerance making the lives of the ordinary rakyat miserable and unbearable.
Malaysia must, if it is to be a healthier, happier country for everyone, start to make these corrections to their way of life so that nobody is left out from the growth of the nation and there is the real inclusivity of all races.
