There are a range of expertise from India which can be beneficial to Malaysian companies and it is advised that collaborating through joint ventures and the sharing of knowledge and the transfer of technology be encouraged as being the way forward.
India’s knowledge and experience in agricultural research and development can be invaluable to Malaysia and help the nation produce high yield seeds, advanced irrigation systems and climate resilient crops.
By offering training in high yield farming techniques, precision agriculture and sustainable practices to Malaysian farmers and agricultural professionals, the country’s crop productivity, soil management and pest control can improve.
India is also a global leader in information technology and they have a very large pool of skilled professionals and they should be encouraged to work with and train Malaysians through direct employment, joint ventures or as consultants.
This would enable the nation to drive its IT industry, speed up digital transformation and help to position the country as a major player in the global IT market and also lead to the collaboration of joint IT projects between countries.
These measures can lead to the development of new technologies in areas like fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and ecommerce besides establishing IT hubs or incubators in Malaysia with the tie up with India.
