King’s call not being heeded

A royal decree by His Majesty the Yang Di Pertuan Agong for the Allah socks controversy to come to an end is not being heeded as there are groups out to create trouble and exploit the situation to gain political mileage.
These blatant acts of injustice against the KK Mart chain of supermarkets include two arson attacks at stores, threats and acts of intimidation against staff, and the damaging of goods being sold at their outlets.
The authorities should be reined in to act fairly and justly against the perpetrators of these crimes and take stern action against vigilante groups who are taking the law in their hands by acting as custodians of the Islamic faith.
The Islamic faith is defended and upheld by His Majesty the King and his brother Malay rulers and Malaysians must accordingly pay respect and abide by the rulings of the royal houses as they are the actual institution that safeguards the Islamic faith.
It is important for every Malaysian to understand that Islam is the official religion of the country but Malaysia is not an Islamic state as this is not stated and agreed upon by the founding fathers of the Federal Constitution.
Since Malaysia is a multi racial and multi religious country, a plural society, there must be give and take among Malaysians for peace and harmony to prevail and for stable governance to be achieved.
