All over the world, it is Christmas that is the popular celebration by Christians, characterized with gift giving, giving and receiving presents and therefore many people think this is the most important event for Christians.

But Easter celebrations, as rightly believed, is actually more important than Christmas as it symbolises the hope of the Christian faith where they hope to resurrect to new life upon dying and departing from this world.

While Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian faith, the Holy Week leading to Easter joy has Christians fasting and praying, attending Holy Thursday and Good Friday masses.

This year was no different as on Sunday, March 31, 2024 Christians all over the world ushered in Easter with much merriment and joy, drawing and painting of Easter eggs and feasting and drinking to their satisfaction.

While Easter might not be celebrated on a wide and grand scale as Christmas, many Christians made it a point not to forget their friends of different faiths and opened their houses for all to participate in this celebration.

Easter Sunday witnessed a lot of mingling and mixing between people of different races and religions and the migrant community and foreigners also made it a point to connect with each other the festive joy.
