MM2H Hub opens at Motac
The one stop My Malaysia Second Home (MM2H) service centre has commenced operations at Level 1 of the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry or Motac in Putrajaya following the closure of the previous service centre at the Immigration Department.
The one stop service centre offers a full range of services at their counters including pass extension applications, pass transfers, special passes pending case decisions and other daily transactions related to MM2H pass holders.
The ministry promises and assures that new applications will be settled as soon as possible provided that all information and documentation of the applicant or applicants are in order and complete.
Motac added that the counter’s operating hours are from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm for Mondays to Thursdays, and 8am to 12.15pm and 2.45pm to 5pm on Fridays, while the counters are closed on weekends and public holidays.
In a statement issued to the media, Motac announced that all applications must be undertaken by registered MM2H agents only and this government introduced program was introduced in the year 2002.
It allows for foreigners to buy property and live in Malaysia on a long term basis but was temporarily suspended in August 2020 for a review by the Home Ministry and Motac and has been handled by the Immigration Department since October 2021.
