Political stability key to growing investments

by | Nov 29, 2023 | National, News | 0 comments

Malaysian prime minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, stated that the political stability achieved under the unity government for a year has been a key factor in attracting investments from around the world.

Anwar, who was officiating at the launch of the Prime Minister’s Gold Hand Award (MATEPM) and Skilled Person Award at the Shah Alam Convention Centre, expressed optimism that other global players will enter Malaysia.

So far large companies such as Google, TikTok, Infineon Technologies AG, the automotive company Geely and Tesla have expressed confidence in Malaysia due to the clear policies outlined by the government.

Anwar added that the government will not only be more aggressive and assertive in bringing changes to the country but also to raise the status of the nation in this region by attracting investors through good governance.

The prime minister, in defending his Madani government, called on all those who offered dissent to not just condemn and criticise but to go to the ground to offer solutions to problems, issues and crises which the country is facing.

He stated that the hard work of laying down the groundwork and foundation of his Madani concept will now be hard to destabilize as Malaysians find that slowly and surely it is moving the nation forward.
