Anwar preaches to the unconverted

While the world watched, Malaysian prime minister Anwar Ibrahim led an unbeliever to embrace the Islamic faith in New York, but closer home he has difficulty trying to convert the minds of Malaysians to accept his Madani concept.

Since its inception, Anwar has been preaching everywhere in Malaysia on the merits of the Madani ideology, which is similar in fashion to neighbouring Indonesia’s Pancasila beliefs that spurs the country forward together.

The Madani ideology is being propagated to try and steer Malaysians to come together as a united whole and move the country forward by highlighting commonalities among the three major races of the nation.

While Madani has been cleverly conceived and many independent watchers around the world give it the thumbs up, the vocal opposing forces on the other side of the political divide refuse to give their cooperation to it.

This is a pity because apart from the long standing Rukun Negara, the time is right for Malaysians to embrace an ideology that will bring them together and not only bind them but continue to keep them together.

With the current factions growing and increasing in the political sphere, Madani offers necessary salvation to Malaysians and its launch is timely as a mechanism to ensure that there is happiness and satisfaction among the people.
