The Sultan of Johor’s wise counsel

Quite wisely, the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, has advised all Malaysians to be patient and give Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) sufficient time to solve the country’s problems.

DSAI has been in power for only ten months, and to his credit his stint so far has been quite commendable, and the Sultan of Johor wants the rakyat to allow him to preferably work out a full five year term as prime minister.

“Rome was not built in a day,” as the saying goes, and DSAI must be allowed the time and space to fully establish his leadership and the attempts to sabotage the unity government by opposition politicians must stop.

The Sultan of Johor, who also describes himself as being “Malaysian First,” and his brother rulers have often been called upon to give their learned opinions and Malaysians would do well to heed their advice.

Those who view DSAI with suspicion and apprehension should be placated and assured that he is a genuine article and seeks the best interest of all Malaysians and so they must close ranks and support him.

DSAI is not the problem, the problem is in Malaysians pulling in different directions and having no unity but since the unity government is in power it will do well for everyone to come together and be as one nation.
