Tenders for projects by HSS Engineers
HSS Engineers Bhd (HEB) is tendering for RM415 million worth of projects in the rail, road and water sectors and believes that high impact transport and water related infrastructure projects will take off in the second half of 2023.
HEB stated that these infrastructure projects and the Pan Borneo Phase 1B, Penang and Johor Light Rail Transits and multiple flood mitigation projects nationwide are valued at a further RM600 million.
As at June 30, 2023 HEB’s unbilled order book stood at RM1.4 billion, of which 75 percent is by the Project Management Consultant (PMC) segment providing earnings visibility over the next eight years.
This was primarily driven by the appointment of HSS joint venture (formed by HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd and HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd) and MRT Lingkaran Sdn Bhd to undertake the PMC role for MRT Circle Line (MRT3).
HEB is also optimistic of the positive indications on the Kuala Lumpur and Singapore High Speed Rail as the government solicits private sector interest to evaluate the construction of the project in a move to revive mega infrastructure projects.
HEB also reported that they are making great strides in establishing their fourth vertical of recurring income stream as they have accepted the Energy Commission’s project to develop a 29.99 Megawatt solar PV plant in Kuala Muda, Kedah.
