Give Anwar the mandate to govern
BY: NICHOLAS LIM
State election fever has gripped Malaysians who are watching and monitoring closely as events unfold in the country especially in the states where elections are being held but right thinking people affirm that the right to govern Malaysia must remain with Anwar Ibrahim.
Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s (DSAI) fledgling government is facing opposition that is clamouring for him to be ousted from the right to govern from Putrajaya but it is very important right now for him to be in power.
Instead of opposing him, the right thing that Malaysians should do is to endorse his government, and by doing so they should allow him to carry out his plans and policies for the people as many Malaysians still believe in him.
For Malaysians not to choose DSAI, and opt for his opponents, is really to choose another backdoor government or ‘kerajaan gagal’ or failed government and send the people of this nation back to despair.
It is not that DSAI is indispensable. But by gauging the political scenario in this country, the only leader that is relevant to leading Malaysia forward currently is DSAI as he comes across as the popular choice of the people.
By endorsing his leadership and giving him time, DSAI will be able to iron out the kinks in his administration and be able to put the country on a firmer footing towards peace, progress and prosperity.
