Growing calls to bring back Jho Low
Many Malaysians in different capacities are urging the government to do whatever it takes to bring back fugitive financier Low Taek Jho or Jho Low who is responsible for the 1MDB fiasco and is considered to be still at large.
The Alliance for a Safe Community issued a statement that justice would only be served once Jho Low has been successfully brought back to Malaysia and made to answer for his crimes without any further delay of justice.
The Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) stated that the government must make bringing back Jho Low its top priority as all evidence shows he played a key role in orchestrating the 1MDB debacle.
Malaysians Against Rape, Assault and Snatch Theft or Marah stated that with funds stolen from 1MDB Jho Low was using it to knock the country’s judicial system and instead of seeking a settlement he should come back to Malaysia and answer charges.
Many Malaysians feel the 1MDB saga has stretched too far and it is time to bring all the culprits to book and to make full recovery of stolen funds which rightfully belong to the nation’s sovereign wealth fund.
The police and the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission are working closely together to bring Jho Low back to the country who is charged under Section 4 (1) (a) of the Anti Money Laundering and Anti Terrorism Financing Act 2001.
