America has learnt to play dirty
BY: AIN IBRAHIM
In yesteryears America fuelled the dreams and aspirations of millions of immigrants who flocked to the beckoning Statue of Liberty as a means of finding a meaningful and fulfilled life in the world’s wealthiest democracy.
Now it looks as if the Great American Dream is in tatters and there is no more The Good Life as promised to everyone under their constitution but instead poverty and homelessness and unemployment are the daily scenarios.
Why? What has happened? The Americans, envious and jealous of the threat of a rising China going to displace them as the world’s number one superpower started a trade war and began a military build-up to ward off the Chinese.
Now, under NATO’s banner, they are covertly involved in the Russia-Ukraine war as they feel that they need to bleed the Russians economically so they do not loom as another economic threat alongside China.
America has become downright nasty and dirty and behaving irresponsibly and causing the world to tailspin into a recession and create runaway inflation in countries around the globe by their autocratic and authoritarian rule.
While the Amercians are largely to be blamed for the worsening Quality-of-Life around the world, their own backyard witnesses a lot of anguish and suffering, poverty, deplorable healthcare and housing for their poor and needy.
