Nepal Recognised as a Thrill Seeker’s Paradise at the Top Asia Corporate Ball 2022/23
Nepal was awarded the title of Asia’s Best Country for Extreme Sports at the recently held Top Asia Corporate Ball. The award recognized the beauty of Nepal’s spectacular landscape, making it an ideal destination for extreme sports enthusiasts. The ambassador of Nepal, H.E. Mr. Dilli Raj Poudel, graciously stepped onto the stage to receive the accolade presented by YAM Tunku Mariam Zaharah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar. Nepal is home to some of the world’s highest mountains, including Mount Everest, which is a major attraction for adventure seekers.
Nepal’s diverse terrain provides a range of extreme sports, including mountaineering, trekking, rafting, and paragliding. The country is well-equipped with trekking trails, mountain biking routes, and facilities for adventure sports to cater to the growing demand for extreme sports. The country is keen to promote its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage to attract more visitors and, with the reception of this award, will continue to strive further in its efforts.
This recognition is a testament to Nepal’s efforts in promoting extreme sports and adventure tourism. The country’s stunning scenery and unique culture make it a must-visit destination for reasons other than thrill-seeking.
The international gala dinner was a culmination of the Initiative’s celebration of the achievements of towering personalities, corporations and even countries in Asia. The event saw the presentation of recognitions to outstanding and inspiring achievers from diverse cultures, industries and personalities. Top 10 unveiled the best of the best which showcased inspiring stories of achievements that help to spur many others on to strive for success in their own field of endeavour.
The organiser, Top 10 publications, also honoured 3 outstanding giant brands as well as 3 outstanding giant companies from Malaysia for their impactful sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives carried out throughout the nation. They are Carlsberg Malaysia, Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad, McDonald’s Malaysia, 7-Eleven, Astro Malaysia and KPJ Healthcare.
