7-ELEVEN SALUTED AT THE TOP ASIA CORPORATE BALL 2022/23 FOR EXCELLENCE IN SUSTAINABILITY
The Top Asia Corporate Ball organised by Top 10 of Malaysia and Top 10 of Asia hosted a grand celebration night with guests being distinguished CEOs, business owners, and personalities from across Malaysia and Asia. The international gala dinner was a culmination of the publication’s celebration of the achievements of towering personalities, corporations, and even countries in Asia.
The event saw the presentation of recognitions by YAM Tunku Mariam Zaharah almarhum Sultan Iskandar to outstanding and inspiring achievers from diverse cultures, industries, and personalities. During the Corporate Ball, seven countries were given recognitions based on the results of recent Top 10 surveys. The countries were Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Tajikistan, Philippines, Maldives and Nepal.
7-Eleven was honoured for its impactful sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Represented by Co-CEO Wong Wai Keong as the award recipient, the largest convenience chain store in Malaysia that serves more than a million customers daily received the Malaysia’s Best In Sustainability Leadership award. 7-Eleven is honoured as an outstanding company that champions and embraces environmental, social and governance excellence. In addition, recognitions were also given to a couple of social enterprises from the Asian region for their heartwarming initiatives and programmes.
Personality of the Year award recipients included Eriyca Baiduri, founder and CEO of Noir Health & Beauty Sdn Bhd, one of the most established award-winning cosmetics companies in Malaysia, and medical aesthetics specialists Dr Michael Ong Hong Keat and Dr Terrence Teoh Tean Chun of 1 Doc Holding.
