Ever since the unity government came to power at Putrajaya in late November 2022, after the 15th GE, changes have been noted by independent political analysts and commentators and most of them report changes for the betterment of Malaysians.
This is why Malaysians must maintain their faith in the unity government. The objective for Malaysians is to wait for the 100-day report of how the unity government has fared and so far it appears that they are on the right track.
While bread-and-butter issues are still a major concern for the majority of Malaysians, there is a noticeable change of how they are voicing their displeasure, they are more subdued and taking things in their stride and trusting the government.
The government has gone to the ground very quickly to acknowledge that the Malaysian economy is suffering the ill effects of a global recession from which Malaysians cannot escape and this is why there is runaway inflation.
However, measures and mechanisms are being put in place by the government and there are already changes as Malaysians learn to cope and adapt to a sluggish economy that is slowly beginning to pick up.
Given time, the country should come out of the woods and back to full normalcy but it is very important for Malaysians to rally behind the government of the day and show their support and solidarity for them to work things out.
