Nearly two months after the formation of the unity government, the various ministries, departments and agencies are getting down to work after ironing the kinks and thorny, tacky issues before some settling occurred.

Now that the unity government has got into a nice canter, it should maintain the momentum and ensure there is no sabotage by disgruntled politicians who have fallen by the wayside and sidestepped in their bid for power.

Putrajaya, the seat of government, is once more thriving as a hustling and bustling place as the pace quickens to revive and restore the Malaysian economy and this is why people must give all these efforts by the unity government a chance to work.

Ensuring success, however, will not be an overnight achievement as the unity government is virtually starting from scratch to pioneer a new wave of nationalism and to instill pride once more in the country.

Malaysians have faith that the unity government will grow from strength to strength and the detractors and the less sanguine silenced as Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim mobilises his forces to go to work to reset Malaysia.

This is why it is important now for every Malaysian to close ranks, no matter what their differences may be, and to put faith and trust and give their utmost cooperation to the unity government and support them at least for a full term to see how they fare.
