Certain predictable trends in 15th GE

While the outcome of the 15th GE is hard to predict, there are certain predictable trends that have emerged and this is set to change the course of what is to follow once polling is over and the final results are tabulated.

The most certain predictable trend is that UMNO will have it hard and will struggle while the BN component parties such as MCA and MIC are likely to fare very badly and may be eclipsed in the 15th GE as they have lost a lot of support from the Chinese and Indians respectively.

The prediction that there is a new wave coming and Pakatan Harapan is expected to strengthen their grip on power holds full of promise as Malaysians want to see an end to corruption, cronyism, nepotism and collusion.

The winds of change are blowing and the minor political parties taking part in the 15th GE are considered as minnows and just making up the numbers. This means it will come as no surprise that they and most independent candidates lose their deposit.

The quest for power has always been a major attraction for a number of Malaysians, although they don’t enjoy the support of voters, yet these adventurous candidates will put in their bid and hope at best that they can play the role of spoiler.

Whatever the final outcome, it certainly looks like Pakatan Harapan has grown by leaps and bounds and as a singular coalition it looks as if they have carved a niche for themselves among Malaysians and are set to be the political organisation to not only watch but follow from now.
